Carmen Álvarez
Illustrator and Art Historian
About me
Hello there! My name is Carmen, and I am an Art Historian and artist from Asturias, a beautiful and magical region in the north of Spain.I mostly work with traditional techniques as watercolours, gouache, colour pencils and ink, but I also work doing digital artworks with a graphic tablet HUION H1060P using CLIP STUDIO PAINT or Adobe Photoshop. My main love and inspirations are folklore, mythology and nature, as well as fantasy literature. I am a huge fan of J.R.R. Tolkien and I find his works really inspirational. I also love to learn about cultures and their tales and legends, like the Inuit, Native Americans, etc.Currently I am doing two illustration courses, and I am always trying to improve my art and skills.Recently I have illustrated the book "La esencia de la Luna", written by Drac García Palacios.I hope you will like my art!
